With Hochegg, a biological pioneering project was created at 838 meters, standing for alpine freshness and uncompromising elegance.

At Klosterhof, we have been dedicated to the craft of winemaking for generations. From the grapes that grow and ripen on four sites in our home of Kaltern, we vinify between 30,000 and 40,000 bottles of wine each year: including the three flagship varieties of the Klosterhof – Pinot Blanc, Pinot Noir, and Kalterersee.
Our viticulture is pure craftsmanship: through targeted yield reduction in the vineyard and patient aging in the cellar – often in large wooden casks or barriques – we bring the power of this historic soil unadulterated into the glass. It is a promise of origin based on decades of experience, combining consistency with an uncompromising standard of quality.

With Hochegg, on the other hand, we have opened a new chapter. Driven by curiosity, we were drawn up into the alpine heights. Hochegg is our biological pioneering project – a vineyard shaped by the rugged character of the mountains and the clear, cool air. Here, nature and the climate challenge us anew every year. In this exposed location, we consistently rely on organic farming to capture the unadulterated energy and freshness of this special terroir.
At 838m, Pinot Nero, Pinot Bianco, Chardonnay, and Riesling are cultivated organically and processed into fresh, light, and elegant wines.
